FRIDAY AT BONANZA: Eight players suspended for roles in an altercation
LAS VEGAS -- Five boys basketball players from Sierra Vista and three from Bonanza were suspended Monday for their roles in an altercation that occurred during a Southwest Class 4-A Division game at Bonanza on Friday night.

AMARGOSA VALLEY -- Justin Yeager and Brad Pounds both had first- and second-place finishes, in last weekend's IMCA modified features at Death Valley Raceway.

BEATTY -- Clay Tormey scored 27 points, and Henderson International overcame an early 16-8 deficit to beat the Hornets 64-49, in Southern Nevada Class A League boys' basketball Friday.
