Irene D. Hart

Irene D. Hart, 94, passed away Jan. 22, 2009, in Pahrump.

She was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Washington, and was a resident of Pahrump for three months, having come from Oregon.

She had a 12-year education, was employed as a waitress and was of the Christian faith.

Her son Jerry (Patricia) Hart of Pahrump, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive her.

Services will be private. (01/22/2009)

Sally Frondorf Knott

Sally Frondorf Knott, 73, passed away Jan. 22, 2009, in Pahrump.

She was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio, and was a resident of Pahrump for 16 years, having come from Big Bear, Calif.

During her life, she was a sales representative for Ohio Gas Company, a purchasing agent at Big Bear Hospital, a chef at Disneyland in Los Angeles and she worked for Northrop Aircraft.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Red Hats, and in the sorority at Ohio University, Ohio Business College. She was a graduate of Ohio Business College as well.

Sally was an exceptional painter of fine art and excelled in the culinary arts.

Most of all, she was a wonderful, dedicated wife and mother.

Sally was very much loved by all her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Her husband, George Knott of Pahrump; sons Steve, Tim and Chris; sister Carol; brother Michael; two granddaughters, six grandsons and one great-grandson survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 1 p.m., Jan. 28 at Pahrump Family Mortuary. (01/22/2009)

James Malcom Cobert

James Malcom Colbert, 45, passed away suddenly, from a heart attack, in Pahrump.

He was born Sept. 1, 1963, in Leesburg, Va., and was a resident of Pahrump since 2003.

Jim was a photographer and a gardener and took great pride in his work. He was the president of the Pahrump Singles Friendship Club.

He is survived by sisters Carol and Kasey of Pahrump and Karen of Falmouth, Mass., and brothers Tom of Newton, Mass and Mark and Ed of Orlando, Fla.

A celebration of his life will be held privately. (01/2009)

Mary Lea Burr

Mary Lea Burr passed over Jan. 16, 2009.

She was born in May 1, 1948, in Seattle Wash.

Mary loved and touched everyone who met her. Her courageous battle with cancer both consumed and liberated her; a beautiful soul.

She is survived by her loving mother Lea Merchant; sister Ruth (Dennis) Sasaki and a niece and nephew all of the Pleasant Hill, Calif., area; husband Ron Burr of Pahrump; daughter Heather Moore and three grandchildren of Southern California; sons Shawn and two grandchildren of Pahrump and Gregory (Cindy).
