GBC will host workshop on immigration

The Great Basin College ABE/ESL will host a forum on the immigration and citizenship process, procedure and fraud, on Feb. 3, at GBC campuses and centers throughout its service area.

The interactive video, English-language presentation will take place at 2:30 p.m. in room 118, Pahrump Valley Campus on Calvada Boulevard.

Rudy Bustamante, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) community relations officer will lead the forum. Also on hand will be Monica Toro, the Reno USCIS field office director, and Russ Webb, USCIS fraud investigation supervisor.

Elko attorney Robert Salyer, an immigration law practitioner, will also present.

Participants will be provided with information on U.S. citizenship and immigration policy and procedure, and how and where to obtain valid immigration information and how to avoid fraud.

The sessions are free.
