FEDERAL DETENTION CENTER: Judge rules out injunction
Pahrump's Concerned Citizens for a Safe Community filled the gallery at U.S. District Court Wednesday but were dealt a disappointing blow when U.S. District Judge Jim Dawson ruled against an injunction to stop construction of a federal detention center in Pahrump.
 | DON McDERMOTT / PVT Paul Miller won two matches Wednesday for the Pahrump Valley wrestling team, which defeated homestanding Spring Valley 49-21 and Clark 55-24 and boosted its Southwest Class 4-A Division dual-meet record to 3-0. The Trojans are 23-3 overall.

First place in the Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A Division wrestling standings was at stake Thursday, when Pahrump Valley traveled to Las Vegas Bonanza for a dual meet.
