MARK WAITE / PVT Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce Treasurer Debbie Jones and President Dan Rodriguez hand the cornerstone award to Valley Electric Association Marketing Manager Staci Behnke during the annual chamber inauguration dinner at the Pahrump Nugget Friday night. The award is given to a company that is a cornerstone of the community. In the past VEA crews volunteered to rehabilitate the entrance to the Calvada Eye. The cooperative was also honored for ongoing programs like the holiday coat drive, ambassador program, Lighthouse assistance program to the needy and an annual scholarship.
