The Clark County School District's athletic office has rescheduled almost all of the nearly 70 events that were postponed in December because of inclement weather.

A rare snowstorm forced the postponement of all athletic events involving Southern Nevada Class 4-A schools on Dec. 17 and 18. Three soccer matches on Dec. 15 and 16 also were postponed.

Pahrump Valley's Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A basketball doubleheader at Las Vegas Durango was rescheduled for Jan. 31. The Trojans' wrestling matches with homestanding Sierra Vista, along with Desert Oasis, will be contested Jan. 27.

With the exception of a wrestling dual meet and three-team meet, all of the events have been rescheduled for later this month, with the bulk of them taking place on Saturdays.

The first day for which events were rescheduled is Friday.

All basketball games and soccer and wrestling matches are expected to be made up by Jan. 31, barring any other inclement weather.
