Ben attended high school in Lewisville, Texas and was quiet until you got to know him. After he warmed up to you, his warm funny side would emerge and he would keep you laughing for hours. Ben was a gifted and talented artist and musician. He could hear a jingle on the television and walk right over to the piano and play it back perfectly.

Ben is survived by his mother and step-father C Jay and Ken Lightcap of Park Hill, Okla.; father and step-mother Arnold and Rene Bohannon of Pahrump; brothers, Rick Bohannon-Lopez of Dallas, Texas, Michael Marshall of Imlay City, Mich. Patrick Lightcap of Park Hill, Okla., Wayne LaVasseur, Randy LaVasseur and Damion LaVasseur; sisters Brooke (Adam) White of Lewisville, Texas, Candice Marshall of Imlay City and Charity LaVasseur; step-sister Kelsey Lightcap of Park Hill; sister-in-law Stephanie Skinner of Lewisville; grandmother Kathryn Kame of Park Hill, and grandfather Highland (Nancy) Marshall of Imlay City; nieces Isabel Lopez of Phoenix, Ariz. and Katrina Lopez of Lewisville; nephews Ricky Lopez of Phoenix, and Isiah Amaya, Gabriel White, Isaac Lopez and Wesley White all of Lewisville, and a host of many more family and friends.

A celebration of Ben's life and homecoming was held at 1 p.m. Jan. 3 at Living Hope Church in Texas. Graveside services followed in Lewisville.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund is being set up at Bank of America. Until it is established, donations can be sent to Living Hope Church in Ben's honor for the following charities: Metro Ministries, Teen Challenge or Autistic Trust Fund for Ben's little brother and nephew. (12/24/2008)
