Due to an editing error, Realtor Audna Lang was identified as a Valley Electric Association board member in an article on page 1 of the Jan. 2 Pahrump Valley Times.

Valley Electric Association officials also wanted to clarify the accounting terms used in the rate action. The power cost adjustment will no longer be listed as a separate item of $15 per month on the bill. It will be renamed the basic service charge and added as a charge of 1.9 cents per kilowatt hour on the customer's bill. For those customers who don't use much electricity, they will continue paying a minimum of $20 per month for a facilities charge which won't be increased to $35.

The decorated cross that appeared Dec. 31 in the PVT was for John "Ben" Bohannon, 21, who was struck and killed by a vehicle Dec. 24. Information regarding the accident stemmed from eyewitnesses who called the paper. Bohannon's obituary appears in this issue of the PVT.

In addition, information from the sheriff's department led to a duplication of reports involving a rollover Dec. 25. We regret the errors.
