Alberta June Owen Alberta June Owen, 84, passed away Feb. 12, 2009, at Nathan Adelson Hospice-East, in Las Vegas. She was born June 9, 1924, in Eddy Township, Minn., and was a resident of Pahrump for two years, having come from Las Vegas. She was a homemaker. She is survived by daughter Betty L. (Barry) Moffett and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd E. Owen and her son, Ronald F. Owen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Services are being handled by Palm Mortuary-Jones. (02/12/2009) Marie Bridwell Marie Gloria Bridwell, 76, was born Aug. 23, 1932, and passed away Feb. 16, 2009, in her home. She was a resident of Pahrump for 13 years, having come from Las Vegas She moved to Las Vegas with her husband and two girls in 1965. She was in the U.S. Air Force, was an accountant and worked with the Thunderbirds. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, companion and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born in Hudson, Wis., to Angelo and Philomena Richie. Marie is survived by her significant other and companion of 21 years, Mikey Foerst; three daughters, Sheri Bybee and her children Justin and Casey; Sherlon Capponcelli and her children Vanessa, Sierra and Matthew and Danielle Bridwell; siblings Paul Richie of Iowa, Virginia Evans of Minnesota, Violet Padilla of North Carolina and Ann Batson of Florida; and her very special and best friend, Vicky Tassone of Pahrump. Marie will be met in Heaven with open arms and love from her deceased husband of 35 years, Arnold Wayne Bridwell; daughter Karen Blazek; sister Carmella Giersdorf and parents Angelo and Philomena. A viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Feb. 21, with the funeral service immediately following at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Graveside services will directly follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers and support during Mom's illness and we know she is in a better place now with no more pain. She is with family and is smiling on all of us. (02/16/2009) |
