Senior tour

The West Coast Senior Tour and the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center will stage the Pro-Amateur Doubles tournament March 14.

The entry fee is $30; payouts will be based on one prize for every six entries, with first place worth $300 (with 42 entries). Only amateurs will receive prize money.

The West Coast Senior Tour will be at the Nugget March 13-14-15. The tour is a scratch bowling organization that travels between Southern California and Southern Nevada and hosts at least 20 tournaments each season.

Male bowlers must be 45 and over, while female bowlers must be 40 and over.

Tournaments

Jan and Jerry Johnston, with 786, were winners of the Pahrump Valley 500 Club's Scotch Doubles tournament last weekend, at the Nugget Bowling Center.

Jim Hargraves was the 50-50 winner.

A singles tournament is scheduled March 21. Entry forms will be available next week.

* The Pahrump Valley Tournament Bowling Club will hold a doubles event, by handicap, Saturday at the Nugget. Squad times are 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The tournament is open to club members only. If membership dues for 2009 were not paid in January, they will have to be paid with the entry form.

The tournament is sponsored by Lee Hall and Bill Downs.
