WELDON EDGED BY GAELS' FIELD: Nye mat count: one champ
WINNEMUCCA -- Cody Serfoss of Tonopah won the Nevada Class 2-A state championship at 145 pounds Saturday, salvaging what was otherwise a disappointing tournament for Nye County wrestlers.

Trojans split in final 4-A twin bill
Pahrump Valley's three sophomore starters -- Casey Scheller, Alyson Kunzi and Ashley Lindgren -- combined for 33 points, as the Trojans defeated visiting Spring Valley 51-29 in season-ending Southwest Class 4-A girls basketball Friday night.
