State wrestling schedule

Nevada High School State Wrestling Championships, to be contested Friday and Saturday at the Winnemucca Events Center:

The schedule:

Thursday

Open gym 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., six mats available.

Friday

Weigh-ins start at noon in all three classes (2-A, 3-A, 4-A).

Meetings (for coaches and officials) at 12:15 p.m. in all three classes.

Competition

Friday

Class 4-A

Championship first round (No. 9 seeds vs. No. 8) at 2 p.m. on six mats.

Opening Ceremonies

2:30 p.m. for all three classes

Quarterfinals

Class 2-A on two mats at 3 p.m.

Class 3-A on two mats at 3 p.m.

Class 4-A on two mats at 3 p.m.

Class 4-A consolation first round at 6:30 p.m. on available mats.

No round will begin prior to its published time.

Saturday

Weigh-ins start at 7 a.m. in all three classes.

Meetings start at 8 a.m. in all three classes.

Doors open at 8 a.m.

Competition

Class 2-A consolation quarterfinals at 9 a.m. on two mats.

Class 3-A consolation quarterfinals at 9 a.m. on two mats.

Class 4-A consolation quarterfinals at 9 a.m. on two mats.

Class 2-A Championship semifinals at 10:45 a.m. on two mats.

Consolation semifinals to follow on two mats.

Consolation finals to follow on two mats.

Class 3-A Championship semifinals at 10:45 a.m. on two mats.

Consolation semifinals to follow on two mats.

Consolation finals to follow on two mats.

Class 4-A Championship semifinals at 10:45 a.m. on two mats.

Consolation semifinals to follow on two mats.

Consolation finals to follow on two mats.

Introduction of all finalists in all classes will start at 3:45 p.m..

Admission Prices

Adults: $7.

Students: $5

Children: 8 and under free.

Senior Citizens (62 and older) free.

NIAA courtesy cards and lifetime passes will be honored for the legitimate holder of the pass and one guest.
