Joe J. Lucas Joe J. Lucas, 82, passed away Jan. 24, 2009, in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 24, 1927, in Pennsylvania and was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years. He worked all over the West and Midwest as a rancher, however, he spent most of his time in Idaho. He was of the Morman faith. Joe is survived by his significant other, Cheryl Crocker; ex-wife and friend Cindy Lucas; one brother; two sisters and many friends. A memorial services will be announced at a later date. (01/24/2009) ![]() John Jacobs John Jacobs, 78, went to be with the Lord Jan. 29, 2009. He was born March 9, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio and was a resident of Pahrump for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Air Force and employed as a heavy equipment mechanic and truck driver for most of his life. He was always known for his kindness and willingness to help someone in need. He loved to fish, camp, go rock hounding, explore mines and most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He got such a laugh from people who called him, "John Jacobs Jingle Himer Smith." "He will be greatly missed." His wife, Lahoma; son Dubby; daughters Patty (Dale), Johnnie (Steve) and Honeybee (Doug); brother Jack; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends survive him. There will be no services. (01/29/2009) Carl Fredrick Wilson Carl Fredrick Wilson, 68, passed away Jan. 29, 2009, in Pahrump. He was born June 6, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a resident of Pahrump since 1995, having come from Chicago, Ill. He was an auto mechanic and a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. His wife, Phylis Wilson of Pahrump; sons Carl (Danyel) II, Edison (Winna), Joseph and William, all of Michigan; stepson Kenneth (Connie) Finney of Michigan; daughters Mary (Mike) Kroll, Martha Peters and Edlyn Royce, all of Michigan; step-daughters Velda (John) Rynott and Cynthia Buss of Las Vegas and Georgia (Jim) Fillinger of Missouri; brother Harry (Joanne) of Pennsylvania and Herbert of Michigan; aunt Martha (Thurmond) McCowan of Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive him. Private family services were held Feb. 5 at the Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. (01/29/2009) |
