When: 5 p.m. girls, 6:30 p.m. boys

Where: Pahrump Valley High School gym.

Who: Desert Oasis at Pahrump Valley.

What: Southwest Division basketball games.

When: 5 p.m. girls, 6:30 p.m. boys

Where: PVHS.

Wrestling

The Sunset Region Class 4-A Wrestling Championships will be contested Friday and Saturday at Bonanza High School in Las Vegas (6665 Del Ray).

Entered: 17 teams from the Southwest and Northwest Divisions, including Pahrump Valley.

When: Friday -- 2 p.m. weigh-ins; opening ceremonies 3:30.

Competition schedule Friday: 32-person brackets, 3:45 p.m. Championship first round, 4 p.m. Championship quarterfinals, consolation first round.

Saturday: Weigh-ins 8 a.m. Consolation second round, 10 a.m. Championship semifinals, noon. Consolation quarterfinals, to follow. Consolation semifinals, to follow. Consolation finals (third and fourth places), to follow. Championship round, 5:30 p.m.

The top three finishers advance to the state tournament Feb. 13-14 at the Winnemucca Events Center.
