Girls need help; boys seek first 4-A win
Two games out of fourth place with four games remaining, the Pahrump Valley girls are still mathematically in contention for one of the four playoff berths in Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A Division basketball.

Vegas-to-Reno race faces public hearings
RENO (AP) -- Federal land managers will conduct an environmental review and hold two public meetings next month to gather public comment on a proposed off-highway race this summer that would stretch three days over about 1,000 miles of Nevada's high desert.
