Mildred Bernice Hale

Mildred Bernice Hale, 85, the wife of Merle Hale for 24 years, passed away Dec. 1, 2009.

Millie was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Illinois, and lived in Pahrump since 1991.

She was a member of Heritage Bible Church, VFW and Las Vegas Good Sam Club.

She is survived by stepsons Ken Hale, Lyn Lyons, Bert Schneider, Maurice Schneider and Bill Schneider; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughters Corky Wells and Jacquelin Williams.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Dec. 18 at Heritage Bible Church. (12/01/2009)

Donald I. Wren

Donald I. Wren, 79, passed away Dec. 7, 2009, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.

He was born June 8, 1930, in Paducah, Texas, moved to Las Vegas in 1932, and was a resident of Pahrump since 1998.

Donald was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of IBEW Local 357 in Las Vegas.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Rose Marie Wren; sisters Nadine (Bud) Gibson and Dorothy (Beau) Beauford; children Dawn (Ralph) Villanueva, Willard (Anita) Wren and Renae Levey; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Dec. 14 at Lee Funeral Home on Buol Lane.

A gathering at the Elks Lodge on Basin Avenue will follow the services. (12/07/2009)
