Singles Club schedule The Pahrump Singles Friendship Club will meet at the following times and places during the month of August. Wellness options forum Ancient Secrets Metaphysical Books and Gift Store and Universal Wisdom Church will present a wellness options forum 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 29 in the Bob Ruud Community Center. Information will be available concerning holistic healing, psychics, Tarot card reading, Reiki, essential oil, massage therapy, crystals, candles, music relaxation nutrition and more. Lil Miss, Lil Master contest The Lil Miss, Lil Master contest will be Aug.29 at the town annex, 270 N. Highway 160. Competition for Lil Miss and Lil Master will be 10-11:45 a.m. Contestants will be judged on visual presentation, parade and wave and personality. Contestants must have been born between Aug. 1, 2003 and Aug. 1, 2005. Call 727-4687 or 727-5107, Extension 301 for more information. Reenactors needed Volunteers are needed to participate in Civil War living history to be presented in conjunction with the Wild West Extravaganza, Sept. 19 and 20 at Saddle West. To volunteer, call Walt Rubio, 537-0448. Uniforms and instructions will be provided. Pahrump Film Festival The third annual Pahrump Film Festival will be Sept. 5 at Red Sky BBQ. Featured films will be "Killers from Space" versus "Dorks on the Moon." There will also be a surprise short, classic sci-fi spoof. Admission is free.
