A new musical and hula act will open for the Paressa Wong group which normally performs at the United Way luau scheduled for Saturday in Honeysuckle Park

This will be the first performance by the local group Na Mele Hula O' Hawaii. The troupe is under the direction of Doreena Baclayon.

The luau will begin with dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. On the menu is Kalua pig, chicken long rice, lomi-lomi salmon, salad and haupia. The cost is $6 per plate and hot dogs for the kids will be $2.

Beer, sodas, water and mai tais will be available for purchase.

The entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m.

Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and the family for an enjoyable evening Polynesian style.
