Board OKs raises, longevity pay
The Nye County commissioners last week approved pay raises of from 3 to 4 percent for themselves, judges, members of the sheriff's office and administrative staff.

FALL SPORTS: PV girl golfers return Monday
Pahrump Valley's girls golf team will begin workouts for the 2009 Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A Division season Monday at Mountain Falls, with as many as eight girls expected to contend for starting honors this fall.
