TURMOIL OVER THE TOWER: Thought your TV signal was safe?
The Pahrump Town Board voted Tuesday to postpone a decision on entering into a contract with GWRC to lease and manage the newly erected communication and TV tower. It will be back on the agenda Aug. 25.

AT PAHRUMP VALLEY SPEEDWAY: Scott Castle beats the 'Bond' car
Scott Castle outraced the 007 car driven by Anthony Finley to win the Bomber feature at Pahrump Valley Speedway, where another big crowd watched seven main events and almost a dozen heat races on the smooth and slick quarter-mile dirt oval, on a warm, but calm Saturday night.
