BEATTY -- With a berth in the Southern Nevada Class A baseball playoffs definitely within reach, Beatty is at home Friday against league and Nye County rival Tonopah in a doubleheader.

LAS VEGAS -- Pahrump Valley's fast-pitch softball team moved into a tie for sixth place in the Sunset Region Southwest Division Monday, with a 15-2 rout of Bishop Gorman at Majestic Park.
