Letters to the Editor
Thanks from Linedancers On behalf of all the High Desert Linedancers, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to those who helped make our inaugural Easter dinner celebration a fabulous success. From all of the High Desert Linedancers, thanks to Arbor Flowers, Bead Volcano, C-Designs, Carl Censki (our magnificent auctioneer), Jim Clancy (for all your hard work with logistics), Linda and Tony DeMeo, Gary Howland, Master Gardeners, Mountain Falls Golf, Pahrump Nugget, Pahrump Rentals, Tom Saitta and All That Jazz, Sand Baggers Miniature Golf, Secret Sisters, Skate Zone, Smith's, Connie Van Malkenhorst, the Winery and Wulfy's. A very special thanks is extended to Lori Doller and staff at the Pahrump Nugget for the donation of the event's center and for the tremendous job you all did to help make this a special evening. The room was elaborately decorated creating a wonderful extraordinary ambiance. The tables were adorned with stunning spring flower arrangements donated by Arbor Flowers. The entertainment by Tom Saitta and All That Jazz was tremendous. Dinner was superb (especially the double chocolate cake for all of us chocoholics). And, of course there was the magnificent auctioneer Ski, who had everyone digging deep into their pockets to help generate funds for this great cause. Thanks so much to all of you. Thanks to those of you who purchased tickets and bid on Easter baskets. The event would not have been a success without all of you. I would especially like to extend a personal and great big thank you to each member of the High Desert Linedance performance team and extended team for all of your support and hard work that went into making this a great event. I know you all thought I was crazy at first (and probably still think so) but we pulled together to make it happen. We overcame every obstacle along the path and arrived at our destination with great pride and a sense of accomplishment. This was a great learning experience, which will provide us with a road traveled that we can reflect upon and draw from for future accomplishments. You are awesome. Relay for Life will greatly benefit from all the hard work that went into making this a great event. Thanks to all. TERI ROGERS |
