Norman Eugene Sloan

Norman Eugene Sloan, 69, passed away April 20, 2009, in Pahrump.

He was born May 24, 1939, in Pennsylvania and was a resident of Pahrump for three months, having come from California.

He was a chrome plater for Crown Plating in California and retired in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Sloan of Pahrump; daughters Lorma (Willie) Contreras of California and Myltreda Sloan of Pahrump; sons Ronnie (Denise) Sloan of Iowa, Norman (Joanne) Sloan Jr. of Las Vegas and Kenneth and Robert Sloan, both of Pahrump; brother Clifford Sloan of Arizona; sisters Helen Brock and Norma Bisbee, both of California; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m. April 25 at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Burial will follow. (04/20/2009)

Linda Lou Wynant

Linda Lou Wynant, 56, passed away April 5, 2009, at home after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

She was born June 14, 1952, in Guyman, Okla., and was a resident of Pahrump for two years.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Martinez, Kevin Brown, Joe Brown, Summer Gibbs and Logan Gibbs and 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette Graves and Louelle Neal.

Private services will be held at 11 a.m. April 25. (04/05/2009)
