Two suspects are sought in the attemped murder of a local individual Friday afternoon at a residence on East Haiwee Street.

The suspects, Andre Longmire Jr., 19, and Valentino Barreras, 22, allegedly drove to the residence in an "older Lincoln Town Car" to shoot the intended victim over some sort of dispute.

Detectives reported that when they arrived, Longmire went to the door and asked for the intended victim.

The individual who answered the door then closed it while he went to look for the person.

At that point, Longmire reportedly fired three shotgun slugs through the door.

"No one was shot," said a Nye County Sheriff's Office report. "An infant was in the residence, and another occupant of the residence had just picked the infant up prior to the shooting."

Longmire and Barreras left the scene in the Lincoln, which has since been recovered. Witnesses to the incident said they saw Longmire open fire while Barreras watched.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous and have not been located.

Each is accused of attempted homicide, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, reckless driving and felony child endangerment.
