Earth Day Festival

Earth Day is officially celebrated on April 22 and Pahrump will celebrate the seventh annual Earth Day Festival 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 25, in Honeysuckle Park.

The celebration will again partner with Town Clean Up day and will be a chance for residents to learn from local environmentally friendly businesses. There will be information available on desert living, recycling, green energy and other topics of environmental interest.

Live music provided by D'Nile, games, demonstrations, a raffle will be on tap.

The VFW will sell hot dogs, hamburgers and local Native American youth will serve fry bread and soft drinks.

Pahrump Town Clean Up

The annual Pahrump Town Clean Up will be April 25.

Trash bags and vests will be handed out 7 a.m.-noon at Honeysuckle Park.

Signup at the Pahrump Chamber of Commerce or call 727-5800 to take part in the 98 miles of roads to be cleaned.

'Show and Shine'

The Valley Cruisers of Pahrump will host the 14th annual Over the Hump to Pahrump Show and Shine auto parts swap meet April 25 on the grass at Petrack Park.

Registration is 7 a.m.-noon and the car show is 8-4 p.m.

There will be a poker walk, food, raffles, games and music.

Ms. Senior Nye County Pageant

The Ms. Senior Nye County Pageant will be held April 18 at the Maverick, 340 E. Mesquite Ave.

PVHS drama play

The Pahrump Valley High School Drama Department will present "Just Another High School Play,' at 7 p.m. April 24 and 25 in the PVHS auditorium.

Tickets are available from Ace Hardware, the Chamber of Commerce and the Pahrump Community Library.

Singles Club meets

The Pahrump Singles Friendship Club will meet on the following schedule:

April 25 -- UNR Extension office, 5 p.m., potluck.

April 30 -- Saddle West Casino, 5 p.m.

PV Garden Club Landscape Tour

Tickets are now on sale for the Pahrump Valley Garden Club Landscape Tour scheduled 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 25.

Tickets for the tour are $6. There will be a separate 50/50 drawing. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or six for $5.

All tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, Secret Sisters Boutique, UNR Cooperative Extension Office or call Cherry, 751-4785.

Art & Sol call for entries

The Pahrump Arts Council will sponsor the 15th annual Art & Sol Festival May 9 and 10 in the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Booths for artists and crafters are $40 for PAC members and $50 for non-members.
