DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN

HORACE LANGFORD JR. / PVT
Except for the make of cars, these two accident scenes at the fence line of Eagle Motors are almost identical. On Feb. 2, a Nye County Sheriff's Office dispatcher was hit on her way to work at the corner of Blagg Road and Mesquite Avenue by a driver who failed to yield at the intersection. The same dispatcher, in her new Chevy Impala, was again hit at the same intersection on Monday. A teenager with a learner's permit was driving a friend while her grandmother supervised in the back seat when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The teen driver, her grandmother and the dispatcher were transported to Desert View Hospital by Pahrump Valley Fire-Rescue Services. The teenage passenger was picked up by her mother who took her to the hospital. The owner of Eagle Motors was left with the same section of fence to have repaired. Assistant Sheriff Rick Marshall and Captain Bill Becht responded to the scene. Becht later said the dispatcher took the day off, but reported to work as usual on Tuesday.
