The PVT has found it necessary to place more strict limits on letters to the editor. Henceforth, letters will be published only if they are no longer than 400 words.

As always, all letters must be signed with the writer's full name, and no letters will be published without that name. A daytime phone number must also be included; it will not be published but may be used for author confirmation.
