Visual Artist's

The Spring Mountain Art Guild and the Pahrump Arts Council will sponsor the Visual Artist's get together 1-3 p.m., April 4 in the Pahrump Community Library meeting room.

There will be a talk by Terry Harvey on painting in general and batik on paper.

Attendees are invited to bring a favorite work to share.

Prizes will be awarded for first- second- and third-place.

Family day

Family to Family Connection will hold a family day noon-2 p.m., April 24 at the Pahrump Community Library.

There will be arts and crafts, face painting, child abuse prevention education, dental screening and more.

Pahrump Town Clean Up

The annual Pahrump Town Clean Up will be April 25.

Trash bags and vests will be handed out 7 a.m.-noon at Honeysuckle Park.

Signup at the Pahrump Chamber of Commerce or call 727-5800 to take part in the 98 miles of roads to be cleaned.

Easter Sunday trail ride

Petra/Faith Fellowship will sponsor a three-hour trail ride up Wheeler Wash on Easter Sunday to benefit Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Registration will be 7:30-8 a.m. at the Faith Fellowship Church in Wheeler Springs Plaza, 921 S. Highway 160, No. 401.

There will be a chili and corn bread lunch served at noon.

The cost is a $25 donation to Nathan Adelson and a $5 donation is suggested for non-riders. Kids eat free.

Nye County School notice

The Nye County School District wants parents and guardians to know they may apply for free and reduced-price meals at any time during the calendar year. The program assists needy families meeting the guideline requirements.

Determination is based on income and number of people residing in the home.

Faith Fellowship concert

Faith Fellowship will host a free-for-all-ages concert at 6 p.m., April 5.

The concert will feature all types of music; indie rock/spoken word, folk/inspirational and spiritual.

There will also be a showing of the film "The Disc."

Haven Selah

Haven Selah will have Dances of Universal Peace at 1 p.m. April 4.

Two monks from Deer Park Monastery, in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh will join the dancers.

Phrases and movements are easy to learn. Translation will be provided.

Donations are accepted and there is a vegetarian pot luck after the dances.

The Pahrump Springs chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 10 a.m., April 8 in the Pahrump Community Library.

PV Garden Club Landscape Tour

Tickets are now on sale for the Pahrump Valley Garden Club Landscape Tour scheduled 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 25.

Tickets for the tour are $6. There will be a separate 50/50 drawing. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or six for $5.

Easter Eve Dinner

There will be a community Easter Eve Dinner 3-6 p.m. April 11 in the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Pahrump AGLOW will meet 9:30-11:30 a.m. April 18, in the north conference room of the Pahrump Community Library.

Girl Scouts day camp

The Girl Scouts of Pahrump will have the annual spring break day camp 4-7 p.m. April 13-15 at Honeysuckle Park.

The theme is safari.

The cost will be $35 for registered Girl Scouts and $45 for non-registered Girl Scouts.

Spots are open for all girls K-5 and program aides 6-12.

Registration ends when the day camp is full.

No registration will be taken at Honeysuckle Park.

Miss Rodeo Nevada Raffle

Miss Rodeo Nevada contestant, Lindsay Dryer will run for the 2009 Miss Rodeo Nevada and Miss Rodeo. Nevada Teen. Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10 and the grand prize is a pair of plaza-level tickets to the 2009 National Finals Rodeo.
