A new-look Pahrump Valley football team will play at Las Vegas Faith Lutheran tonight.

Trojans first-year coach Leo Verzilli -- disappointed and perplexed by the Trojans' collapse in a 27-0 loss to Desert Oasis last week, announced a 33-player varsity roster Thursday, with the Trojans' next game at 7 p.m. today against the Class 3-A Crusaders.

The Trojans, 1-1, and Crusaders, 2-0, have met seven times since the mid-1980s, with each team winning three games, and one tie.

Tonight's game is the last pre-Sunset Region Southwest Division start for the Trojans, who play at Las Vegas Bonanza next Friday to start their inaugural Class 4-A football campaign.

It was also announced Thursday that Pahrump Valley's B (freshmen) team has been disbanded and all of its games canceled.
