Today is 'GoldOut' Day at Pahrump Valley High School, with fans asked to buy gold T-shirts and wear them to the Trojans' home football game against Las Vegas Desert Oasis.

T-shirts are on sale all day today in the PVHS athletics department office, then at the stadium ticket gate.

Cost is $5 each, with fans able to wear the T-shirt not only tonight, but at any PVHS athletics event -- especially at home -- during the school year.

As part of today's pre-game activities, Ace Floyd's Hardware is sponsoring a tailgate party, starting at 3 p.m. on campus.

Ace will supply barbecue ingredients and sell hotdogs, with all proceeds benefiting the PVHS athletics fund.

The tailgate party will be a regular feature at PVHS home football games, with the parking lot at the weight and wrestling rooms the probable site. Watch for details.

Ace will donate a 42-inch plasma television set to the athletics department, which will raffle it off; cost of tickets is $1 each. They are now available in the athletics department office, at Ace Hardware, and at the tailgate party.
