Tonopah's defending Nevada Class A champion football team lost 36-32 at Carlin Thursday, ending a 10-game undefeated streak.

The homestanding Railroaders trailed 32-24 early in the fourth quarter, but got the winning touchdown with 4:28 left.

In volleyball, Tonopah was second in the White Pine Invitational at Ely last weekend.

The Lady Muckers finished 4-1, losing 25-9, 22-25, 25-9, 25-21 to the host Bobcats in the finals. Their wins were against White Pine 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 23-25, 15-12; West Wendover 25-19, 25-21, 25-13; Lincoln County 27-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-25, 15-12 and West Wendover, 3-1 (no scores available).
