Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Oct. 13 to Oct. 19:

Menu -- soup and salad bar, 2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday -- fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, fruit cup;

Tuesday -- Salisbury steak, baked potatoes, corn, pineapple cake;

Wednesday -- creamy chicken over rice, green beans, chocolate pudding;

Thursday -- shepherd's pie, corn, brownies;

Friday -- stuffed bell peppers, mixed veggies, cake.

Activities

Monday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker club, noon; beading club, 12:30 p.m.

Tuesday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; craft class, 1 p.m.; bridge class, 1 p.m.

Wednesday -- cloggers, 9 a.m.; pinochle, 1 p.m.; Wal-Mart shopping, 9:30 a.m.; painting class, 10 a.m.; Laughlin trip, 8 a.m.

Thursday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.

Friday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; bridge, 1 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 13 to Oct. 19. Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served from 4-5:30 p.m.

Monday -- zucchini casserole with red pepper aoli, salad bar, apricots, sugar cookies. Door prize drawing at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday -- Tahitian chicken with rice casserole, braised red cabbage, seven-grain bread, margarine, tangerine;

Wednesday -- hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, salad bar, birthday cake;

Thursday -- pork chow mein, steamed rice, broccoli, wheat bread, jelly, fruit cocktail;

Friday -- Diabetic menu: barley beef stroganoff, whole wheat rolls, salad bar, mixed fruit, chocolate caramel smores.
