Boosters

The Pahrump Valley Athletics Boosters Club will meet at 7 p.m. each Tuesday in Wulfy's banquet room.

RCMS hoops

Boys and girls interested in playing basketball at Rosemary Clarke Middle School must just have completed a physical examination by a physician to be eligible for preseason workouts.

Student-athletes must also have proof of insurance on file with the athletics director before participating. Physical forms can be picked up in the RCMS front office during school hours. Fall athletes should already have an exam form on file.

There will be a basketball camp Nov. 17-20 at RCMS. The girls' session is from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. daily, with the boys participating from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Basketball tryouts will be Dec. 1-3.

Dockter events

The Pahrump Valley Softball Association will hold a weekend tournament Saturday and Sunday at Petrack Park. Proceeds will benefit the Preston Dockter family.

The tournaments will be played in three divisions: men's, women's and co-ed. The cost is $10 per player; form a team or just go to the park to compete.

The Preston Dockter Benefit Hot Rod and Cycle Show will be held Saturday at Extreme Audio & Motor Sports, 1201 S. Highway 160 in Pahrump (across from the Saddle West). All proceeds will go to the Dockter family.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

A raffle, barbecue and music will be featured.

Pop Warner

Pahrump Valley's Pop Warner football teams split at home Saturday, as the regular season came to a close.

The Sharks' division has no playoffs.
