Robert Vigil 'Bob' Oscar Robert Vigil "Bob" Oscar, 77, passed away May 22, 2008, in Dolan Springs, Ariz. with his family at his side. He was born Jan. 5, 1931, in Edmunton, Alberta, Canada to Orlyn and Irma Oscar. He was a 55-year resident of Nevada and a 30-year resident of Pahrump. Bob served in the Army, 1948-1951, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He served with the 17th Infantry regimen of the 7th Division and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor, the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Battle Stars. He was a Staff Sgt. at discharge. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a 20-year member of Moose Lodge 808. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, wife Zenia. Bob is survived by son Robert (Rhonda); daughters Teresa (Gary), Debbie and Carolyn (Craig); brothers Calvin, Gordon and Gerald and 10 grandchildren. A memorial of Bob's life will be held, 1300 hours June 1 at the Moose Lodge. (05/22/2008) ![]() Robert W. Cowan Robert W. Cowan, 74, passed away May 22, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Haines, Alaska and was a resident of Pahrump for 28 years. He was a truck driver for most of his life and retired from a green-keeper position for what is now Willow Creek Golf Course. His wife, Shirley Cowan of Pahrump; children Tony (Vivian) Jones of California, Tammara (Alan) White of Las Vegas and Robert J. Cowan of Pahrump; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive him. Even though he is no longer with us, his love will always shine through us. Services will be held 11 a.m. May 31 at Pahrump Community Church, 1061 E. Wilson Rd. (05/22/2008) |
