IT'S OFFICIAL: Detention center is on the way
A record of decision issued by the Office of Federal Detention Trustee May 6 confirms a decision to proceed with selecting a contractor to build a federal detention center on East Mesquite Avenue in Pahrump.

BOYS 3-A STATE GOLF: Truckee edges Trojans
MESQUITE -- Bryce Poulin had a 93 at The Palms on Tuesday, but he rallied for a 79 at CasaBlanca on Wednesday, to lead Truckee, Calif., to a six-stroke victory against Pahrump Valley in the Nevada Class 3-A Boys Golf state tournament here.
