James Lynch

James Lynch, 89, passed away May 6, 2008, at the Beehive Home in Pahrump.

He was born April 28, 1919, in Newark, N.J. and was a Pahrump resident for three years, having come from Neptune City, N.J.

He was a truck driver and warehouse worker for Wakefern and the Teamsters Local 863. He retired in 1981.

Lynch was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Forces, 589th Bomber Squadron from July 1942, until Oct. 19, 1945.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church.

His son James J. Lynch of Pahrump; daughter-in law Jean Downing Lynch of Pahrump; sister Mary McInery of Venice, Fla.; niece Arlene Throckmorton of Venice, Fla; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church. (05/06/2008)

Marvin Lee Frame

Marvin Lee Frame met the sunset of his life May 9, 2008.

His sunrise was Feb. 25, 1932.

His wife of 54 years, 11 months and nine days, Martha; son David Frame of Las Vegas; grandsons Brandon and Bravon Frame of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren Dillon and Bardon Frame of Las Vegas; sister Janice (Ronald) Rogers of Lenart, Iowa and brothers Floyd Jr. of Fort Collins, Colo. and Dean of Des Moines, Iowa survive him.

He was preceded in death by daughter Lea Ann Gotsher; sons Randy and Mitchel; grandson Jimmy Lee Gotsher; sister Donna Hancock and parents Zelda and Floyd Frame.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. May 18, at the Pahrump Elks Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice. (05/09/2008)

Danny Joe Ellis

Danny Joe Ellis, 58, passed away May 5, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born May 19, 1949, in Mancos, Colo. and was a resident of Pahrump for 16 years, having come from Delores, Colo.

He worked in construction as an operator/engineer for the Local 12 and was a veteran of the Army.

His daughter Tanya Ellis of Pahrump; son Brian (Michelle) Ellis of Irving, Texas; sister Joan McGee of Corona, Calif. and six grandchildren survive him

Services will be private. (05/05/2008)

Orville Laverne Settje

Orville Laverne Settje, 92, passed away April 30, 2008, in Las Vegas.

He was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Leigh, Neb., and was a resident of Pahrump for 11 years, having moved here in 1997.

He was a plumber by trade and of the Baptist faith.

His daughter Laura Baker of Nickor, Neb.; son Michael Settje of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive him.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, his wife, Alice Aide and daughter Diane.

Services are pending. (04/30/2008)
