The boys' golf team from Pahrump Valley chased Faith Lutheran all spring in the Southern Nevada Class 3-A season. Thursday, the Trojans get one more shot at the undefeated Crusaders in the regional tournament at Mountain Falls.

Tee time is 11 a.m. for 33 players from five league teams -- including Boulder City, Mesquite Virgin Valley and Overton Moapa Valley -- in the 18-hole, medal-play tournament on the 6,647-yard, par 72 course in south Pahrump.

Faith Lutheran won all eight league matches, with Pahrump Valley finishing second in seven and third in another. Last week, at Palm Valley in Las Vegas, Faith completed the sweep by shooting 408 on the par 72, 6,849-yard course. Pahrump Valley had 428, with Virgin Valley had 438 and Moapa Valley 453. Boulder City did not have a complete team for that match.

The probable starters for coach Bob Hopkins' Pahrump Valley team will be:

* Cameron Belcher, who averaged 78.6 strokes per 18 holes as he finished third in the player of the year standings;

* Anthony Franco, who was eighth in the POY standings and averaged 86.6;

* Elliott Owens, ninth on the POY list with an 89.1 average;

* Will Peers, 11th, averaging 86.5;

* Shane Lindemann, 13th, 86.5 and

* Daniel Shimakawa, 19th, 87.1.

Yuki Kato of Faith Lutheran is the player of the year; he accumulated 92.5 points as he averaged 74.9 strokes per 18 holes for the Crusaders.

Blake Hampton (76 points, 78.8), Mike Mayer (46.5, 82.4), Trevor Ensign (16, 86.4), Alex Vanee (18.5, 83.4) and Chad Kaercher (8.5, 90.8) are the probable starters for the Crusaders.

Other top players who are expected to compete at Mountain Falls:

* Joshua Chambers, Virgin Valley, 82.5 strokes average;

* Jon Oglesby, Moapa Valley, 82.9;

* Jordan Smith, Virgin Valley, 84.4;

* Anthony Lucero, Virgin Valley, 86.9 and

* Brandon Faircloth, Boulder City, 85.1.

The top two teams and the top three players off non-qualifying teams advance to the state tournament, to be played Tuesday (The Palms) and Wednesday (CasaBlanca) in Mesquite.
