LAS VEGAS -- Southern Nevada Class 3-A League teams dominated The Meadows Invitational Track meet, the traditional end to the regular season Saturday.

In the boys' team title chase, Boulder City amassed 147 1/2 points, while Pahrump Valley had 120 1/2, Overton Moapa Valley 88 1/2 and Las Vegas Faith Lutheran 78 as they finished 1-2-3-4, respectively among the 15 teams competing. Mesquite Virgin Valley was ninth with 22 points.

In the girls' points chase, Pahrump Valley was second with 127 1/2 points, trailing the 146 accumulated by Faith Lutheran. The outcome was affected by the absence of Ashley Rencher in the PVHS lineup; the junior shot put and discus specialist was at the BYU Invitational in Provo, Utah Saturday.

Rencher set a school record in the discus with a heave of 127 feet, 6 inches, and she was fourth in the shot put at 37-6. Those 15 points gave Pahrump Valley the 15th best total among the 41 girls' teams entered.

Moapa Valley's girls had 92 1/2 in the Meadows meet, followed by The Meadows (74) and Virgin Valley (60 1/2).

Nye County teams were in the meet, with Beatty's boys scoring 17 points; in the girls' scoring, Round Mountain had 32 and Beatty 29. Tonopah's boys and girls did not score.

For the Trojans boys:

*The 4x200 relay was second in 1:58.22.
