It's spring break for Beatty, Tonopah and Round Mountain spring sports teams, but plenty of action remains for the Nevada Class A Central Division schools before the Southern regionals are contested in May.

For the track teams, meets remain at Indian Springs (the Thunderbird Invitational) April 4, at Pahrump Valley (the Rotary Invitational) April 11, at Boulder City (the Ron Resler Invitational) April 25 and at Las Vegas (The Meadows Invitational) May 3.

The 1-A, 2-A and 3-A regionals will be held at Moapa Valley High School in Overton May 9-10. The state track meet is May 16-17 at Damonte Ranch in Reno.

Tonopah's baseball team plays at Pahranagat Valley Alamo today, then is idle until April 4 when the Muckers go to Beatty for a division doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

Remaining Mucker games are April 11, home vs. Round Mountain; April 12, home vs. Pahrump Valley Junior Varsity; April 18, home vs. Indian Springs, and April 25, at Spring Mountain. All action begins at 1 p.m., except the twin bill with Pahrump Valley. It starts at 11 a.m.

Alamo will host the double-elimination Southern regionals May 9-10, with the state tournament May 15-16-17 at Wells.

The Muckers' fast-pitch softball team plays two at Alamo today.

On April 4, Tonopah is at Beatty for a division doubleheader.

On the weekend of April 11-12, the Lady Muckers are at home against Central rival Round Mountain and Class 3-A Pahrump Valley JVs. The twin bills start at 1 p.m. April 11 and 11 a.m. April 12.

Tonopah hosts Indian Springs April 18, starting at 1 p.m.

The Southern playoffs are May 9-10 at Alamo, with the state tournament at Wells May 15-16-17.

Pahrump Valley's baseball team is at Las Vegas Eldorado today at 7 p.m. .... the Trojans' fast-pitch softball team is in Kingman, Ariz., today and Saturday for a major tournament ... the PVHS track team goes to the Las Vegas Classic today (3:30 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m.) at Del Sol ... Pahrump Valley plays its Southern Nevada Class 3-A League openers in baseball and softball Tuesday, at home against Overton Moapa Valley ... Both twin bills begin at 1 p.m.
