State sites Southern Nevada Class 3-A regional tournaments in baseball and fast-pitch softball are May 8-9-10 at Boulder City; only the Southern champion will advance to the state semifinals. In state tournament baseball, the semifinals will be played at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. May 15 at Western Nevada College in Carson City, with Peccole Park, on the University of Nevada campus in Reno, the site for May 16 games at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The championship round will start at 10 a.m. May 17 at Western Nevada. In softball, Bishop Manogue High School in Reno will stage all of the state tournament games, beginning at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. May 16 and at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. (if necessary) May 17. Moapa Valley will host the Class A, 2-A and 3-A regional track meets May 9-10; the state championships will be decided May 16-17 at Damonte Ranch High School in south Reno. Mountain Falls will be the site for the regional 3-A boys' golf championships May 8. Mesquite Virgin Valley will host the state finals at The Palms May 13-14. Roller hockey The new Skate Zone Roiller Hockey League season will begin April 7 for youngsters (5-15) and April 10 for adults. The season lasts 10 weeks. Free roller hockey lessons are offered each Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. The adult league standings through March 15: Kings 10-2, Penguins 9-3, Warriors 6-6, Sabres 4-8, Silver Bullets 0-12. Sertoma tilt The Sparks Sertoma Club announced that its 27th annual for-charity Football Classic will be played June 20 at Mackay Stadium, on the University of Nevada campus in Reno. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. Two teams, the Silver and Blue and comprised of 50 players each, will compete; the athletes will be drawn from 33 Class A, 2-A and 3-A teams in Nevada, Lake Tahoe and Truckee, Calif. Cody Neville of Yerington and Dan Avansino of Reno will be the head coaches. Rosters will be announced. Softball The Pahrump Valley Softball Association is seeking people who can keep score.
