Letters to the Editor
Apology needed I think Terrible's Casinos owes the citizens of Pahrump an apology. They held Pahrump captive for two years, more or less, with the promise of building a theater. After they purchased the casinos at the state line, they did not have enough money, so they say, to build the theater. As far as I'm concerned, this is no excuse. They are still taking our money by running their two casinos in Pahrump. If they don't want to build the theater, the least they could do is find someone to actually build a theater for Pahrump. MYRON BISHOP [No one is required to patronize any of Terrible's businesses. -- Ed.] Sane and sensible Thanks for the sane and sensible article on exotics. We have enough "bans" on things now. And every day the government finds something else to "ban." Do you remember when you didn't hear that word every day? In fact, "banned in Boston" was usually something dire. Not so, now. If exotics are banned, then many animals will become a part of the "animal underground" where they are mistreated. Thanks again. JAN DYKEMA |
