An estimated $10,000 was raised in the 14th annual Quarter Action, a fundraiser put on by the Pahrump Valley Youth Golf Founders Club.

More than 300 people participated in the auction, held in the Pahrump Nugget Casino-Hotel convention center Saturday.

The funds raised in the auction have supported the high school golf programs, helping to defray travel expenses, purchase equipment and pay tournament entry fees.

The Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association, designed for boys and girls 7- to 18-years-old, is another beneficiary of the fundraiser. And the golf program at Rosemary Clarke Middle School is also funded through the auction.

At the end of each school year, the PVYGFC gives a $5,000 scholarship to a graduating senior. And other scholarship programs benefit from the fundraiser.
