Vivid Edge gains OK for town's Web site
By CHRISTINA EICHELKRAUT
Pahrump's town Web site could soon be up and running again now that the Pahrump Town Board has approved a contract with Vivid Edge Designs, a firm owned by long-time Pahrump resident Michelle Phillips. Vivid Edge, selected from nine firms that applied for the job, is also the web designer for the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce and Channel 41's Web sites. The board approved the contract for an initial one-year term with the option to renew for four years at its March 11 meeting. The cost of the service is $11,992 plus a monthly maintenance fee of $400. The town Web site will receive a cyber-makeover both for content and design. For residents who have been sorely missing features the previous company let slip, such as the town calendar, the new Web site will be a welcome arrival. The board also approved purchasing two acre feet of water rights for an amount not to exceed $30,000. The purchase will be made with money from the town's capital improvements fund within the town's general fund. |
