Softball

The Pahrump Valley Softball Association is seeking people who can keep score. Adults are preferred, but anyone who is interested will be trained.

Sertoma tilt

The Sparks Sertoma Club announced that its 27th annual for-charity Football Classic will be played June 20 at Mackay Stadium, on the University of Nevada campus in Reno.

Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.

Two teams, the Silver and Blue and comprised of 50 players each, will compete; the athletes will be drawn from 33 Class A, 2-A and 3-A teams in Nevada, Lake Tahoe and Truckee, Calif.

Cody Neville of Yerington and Dan Avansino of Reno will be the head coaches. Rosters will be announced.

Roller hockey

The Sharks defeated the Dragons 8-5 in a 5-10 Skate Zone Roller Hockey League game. Noah Jubinski scored five goals and Garrett Lucas added three for the winners. Ricky Wills scored three for the Dragons, with Austin Young and Wesley Hamlin adding one each.

The Stars downed the Ice Hawks 6-3 in a 10-15 game. Kaison Muncrief had all of the Hawks' goals. Michael Aviles scored twice and Chris Moffat, Jeanna Goodlow and Tim Sutton added one each for the winners, who had the Hawks tip in one.
