RPEN meeting

The Pahrump chapter of Retired Public Employees of Nevada will meet at 4 p.m., March 18 at the Community Library.

The meeting is for both members and non-members.

VEA District I meeting

The District I meeting for VEA members in Pahrump, Sandy Valley and Mountain Springs will be at 7 p.m., March 17 at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Highway 160 and Basin Road.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is to conduct business in accordance with Article III, Section 6 of the Association Bylaws and such other business as may properly come before this meeting.

Vision impaired meeting

The Pahrump Valley chapter of Vision Impaired Persons will hold a monthly meeting at 1 p.m., March 18 at the Pahrump Senior Center, 1370 W. Basin Ave.

March is Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Low Vision awareness month.

RCMS parent/teacher conferences

Rosemary Clarke Middle School will hold parent/teacher conferences 3-7 p.m., March 20 in the gymnasium.

No appointment is necessary.

Students will have early dismissal at 10:35 a.m.

There will be a minimum day of school, March 21, leading to Spring Break.

Students will be on Spring Break March 24-28, and return to school March 31.

Women's self-defense class

The Nye County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Heroes will present a two-day women's self-defense course 8-4 p.m., March 18 and 19 at the VFW, 4651 Homestead Road.

NWHA spring ride

The National Wild Horse Association will have a spring ride and Easter egg hunt. The event begins with breakfast and can include a steak lunch.

The event takes place starting at 8 a.m., March 30.

The ride and Easter egg hunt are scheduled for 10 a.m. and Craig Leet will provide the steak lunch around 1 p.m.

The ride and lunch is $20 per person and lunch only is $15.
