AMARGOSA VALLEY -- Points leader Ronnie Williams of Las Vegas mounted a dramatic rally and overtook Dan Fitzgerald on the final lap Saturday to gain his second IMCA Modified victory and highlight action at Death Valley Raceway.

Williams outran a 16-car field to collect the victory over the 1/3-mile high-banked dirt track in the 20-lap feature during windy conditions at the newly-opened race facility situated between Death Valley and Lathrop Wells.

Following Williams and Fitzgerald in the top 10 were Todd Nunnally, Leland Hibdon, Rick Durica, Ryan Cottrell, Jason Pike, Harry Anderson, Jim Delaney and Joe Kent.

Pahrump's Jim Wulfenstein took the 10-lap super stock main event over Dan Snowden and Anthony Debiase, while mini stock points leader Michael Lysinger recorded his second victory beating Jabez Broadhead and Anthony Broadhead in a 10-lap feature.

Dwarf car points lead Mark Dillie beat Everette Jordan, Bobby Meek, Troy Seymone and Leroy Kaye in the 20-lap main, while Justin Berger expanded his points lead in the classic coupes with a 10-lap main event win over Donny Berger, Randall Boren, Richard Grimm and Jim Castaneda.
