Robert G. Mills

Robert G. Mills, 80, passed away March 6, 2008 in Redmond, Ore.

He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Fullerton, Neb. to Frederick and Mayme (Nisbett) Mills. His primary residence was in Redmond, Ore. and for approximately the past 10 years he came to Pahrump to spend the winters.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On Sept. 2, 1951, he married Frances Webster. He worked as a recreation assistant at Ft. Rock Ranger District, belonged to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the VFW.

His hobbies were snowmobiling, RVing and spending time with family and friends.

His wife Frances Mills of Redmond; sons Michael, Grant and Steven, both of Bend, Ore.; brother Max Mills of Bend; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive him.

Deschutes Memorial Chapel of Redmond handled the arrangements. (03/06/2008)

Jeffrey J. Mueller

Jeffrey J. Mueller, 51, passed away Feb. 25, 2008, at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas.

Jeff was born Jan. 19, 1957 to Dorothy and Jerold Mueller.

He attended school in Port Washington, Wis.

On Oct. 29, 1974, he welcomed his first son, Jason Jerold Mueller, into the world. On April 21, 1987, Jeff welcomed his second son, Jerrad Jeffrey Mueller into the world.

Jeff worked as a welder with Harnischfeger in Milwaukee, Wis. and then Simplicity in Port Washington, Wis.

In 1995, Jeff suffered injuries in a serious motorcycle accident. After a long and tough rehab, Jeff retired to Pahrump, where he enjoyed playing cards, gambling on current sporting events, watching movies, Harley Davidson motorcycles and telling stories.

Jeff is survived by his mother Dorothy Claytor of San Francisco, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tracy Mueller of Waukesha, Wis.; unborn granddaughter, JJMM, of Waukesha, Wis.; aunt, Marilyn (Ron) Horwitz of Chicago, Ill. and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerold Mueller and his son Jerrad Mueller.

Norman K. Stairs

Norman K. Stairs, 72, passed away peacefully March, 6, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Callaway, Neb.

He married JuliaLee Selby in Casper, Wyo., on Sept. 24, 1954.

His mother Eileen Garris; sister Charlene Sanford and brother Richard Stairs, all of Casper; sons Keith Stairs of Pahrump and Michael Stairs of Casper; daughters Sherrill Cardenas, Julie Stairs and Shawn Swetky, all of Pahrump and Kelly Lemmon of Buffalo, Wyo.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

He was preceded in death by father Larry Stairs; wife JulieLee Selby and sister Jerilyn Barnes.

Services will be at noon, Monday, March 17 at the Elks Lodge, 2220 E. Basin Ave.

A celebration of his life will follow 2-6 p.m., 6380 S. Quarterhorse Ave. (03/06/2008)

Suzy Christian Davis

It is with great sadness that the family of Suzy Christian Davis (nee Gilstrap) announces her passing after a sudden heart attack, on Sunday, March 9, 2008. She was 71.

Suzy will be lovingly remembered by her children Jeri Sue (Ron) Maxwell, Larry Dillard, Joe (Debbie) Dillard, and Marie (Nick) Strange. Suzy will also be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and beloved sister Joyce Costa of Senora, Calif.

A celebration of Suzy's life will be held March, 16 at 4 p.m., The Rock Vineyard Church, 1370 E. Matthew Ln. Pastor Kenny Simpson will officiate. (03/09/2008)
