The Pahrump Springs chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a regular monthly meeting at 10 a.m., March 12 at the Library.

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert Swadell will present a program on intelligence in the Revolutionary War.

The Pahrump Fim Festival is shooting a homemade Sci-fi comedy in Pahrump.

People who can memorize lines and are reliable are needed.

Stimulus package tax help

The Pahrump Tax Aides will be preparing the necessary tax returns for the Economic Stimulus Package payment for persons who normally do not have to file a tax return.

The free service will be offered 9-3 p.m., on special Fridays in March. Appointments are necessary.

The March class schedule for Family to Family Connection, 160 S. Emery, is as follows:

March 14 -- foster parent support group, CPR and first aid, 5 p.m., call to register.

March 17 -- scrapbooking, 1-2 p.m.

March 18 -- teen parenting class in collaboration with WIC, 2 p.m.

March 24 -- scrapbooking, 1-2 p.m.

March 25 -- car seat safety check, call for appointment.

March 27 -- family vehicle safety class, 3:45 p.m., registration required and there is a fee.

March 28 -- explore and learn playgroup, 11 a.m.

March 31 -- scrapbooking, 1-2 p.m.

Play group is at 1 p.m. every Thursday.

Resource Lending Library is open from 9- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fish fry

The next fish fry at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church will be 4-7 p.m., March 14 at 781 E. Gamebird Rd. There will be no fish fry on Good Friday.

Dinner will be fried or baked cod and fish tacos with drinks and dessert available.

National Quilting Day

National Quilting Day will be celebrated 10-2 p.m., March 15 at Seemoore's Too.

Sewers will be making 14 inch drawstring bags for our troops.

As part of the national organization, Pahrump is doing their part to finish 30,000 bags by Nov. 1.

AGLOW

AGLOW is an interdenominational international Christian women's organization providing the opportunity for women to grow in faith and minister to others.

Gymkhana horse show

The Pahrump Valley Rough Riders will hold the second horse show of the year starting at 7 a.m., March 15.

The show begins at 9 a.m.

All ages and skill levels are welcome. Family memberships are $50 for the year and a fee of $20 per show for each rider.

Haven Selah

NWHA training clinic

The National Wild Horse Association will hold a training clinic at 10 a.m., March 15, at Windrock Ranch, 4779 W. Bell Vista Ave.

The clinic is to help horse owners train horses, not restrain them. The clinic includes demonstrations by their professional trainer, help with problem solving and interactive hands-on help.

Come with or without a horse. Space is limited and reservations are requested.

No dogs will be allowed.

The NWHA is a nonprofit organization, but they are asking for a suggested donation of $10 per person. Call 702-452-5853 to make reservations or get more information.

Easter Sunrise Service

Central Valley Baptist Church will have an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., March 23, 3170 S. Blagg Road.

The Easter Lily

Choice Hills Baptist Church choir will present "The Easter Lily" on Sunday, March 23 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The program will be at Choice Hills Baptist Church located at 340 W. Mesquite Avenue.
