Teacher says funding for trips discriminatory
TONOPAH -- Rosemary Clarke Middle School teacher Jeff Hammar said a new Nye County policy granting county funding only for high school field trips unfairly discriminates against younger students.

County gets $200,000 grant
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $200,000 Brownfields Job Training Grant to Nye County, the EPA announced Thursday.

Contractors cited by state board
The license of Mojave Homes, a residential and small commercial contractor based in Pahrump, was revoked by the state Contractor's Board during a Feb. 28 meeting.
