Stimulus package tax help

The Pahrump Tax Aides will be preparing the necessary tax returns for the Economic Stimulus Package payment for persons who normally do not have to file a tax return.

The free service will be offered 9-3 p.m., on special Fridays in March.

Appointments are necessary.

"The Truth" youth group of The Way Baptist Fellowship is looking for donations to be included in a fundraiser garage sale scheduled for March 7 and 8.

All proceeds will go to send the youth group to summer camp.

Garden Club

Pahrump Valley Garden Club will introduce Leslie Doyle, "The Tomato Lady," a brown knees gardener.

She will make a presentation on growing tomatoes in terrible dirt and desert heat at 9 a.m., March 8 at the 4-H building, corner of Dandelion and Calvada.

Beta Sigma Phi

The Beta Xi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 6 p.m., March 5, at Carline's home.

Carline will present the cultural program.

There will be a discussion about the March 14, St. Patrick's Day Bunco social and the June convention in Reno.

Republican convention

The Nye County Republican Central Committee is holding their convention March 8 at the Beatty Senior Center in Beatty, to elect delegates to the state convention in April.
